Wild Thyme Shepherd’s Bush – Brunch in West London

Wild Thyme Shepherds-Bush-Where to eat in West London

The Best Brunch Spot in The Hood

There’s a new brunch spot in town and it’s a corker! Ok, well not new exactly… It’s been going for about a year but is a little neighbourhood secret that I wanted to keep! However, I’ve come to the realisation that it’s too good not to share! Wild Thyme in Shepherd’s Bush is hands down the best brunch spot in the area. Bold claim, I know! But the food is fresh and deliciously flavoured, the portions are generous and it’s a cute spot to pass some time. What’s not to love?!

The Layout

You can sit inside the bright dining room or on the terrace complete with garden benches, parasols and flowery plants.

What I ordered

I usually opt for their vegetarian breakfast, which will keep you going for most of the day! This is not bland food – there are so may full flavours in this dish. There’s spiced guacamole, salty halloumi, chilli beans, a fresh rocket and cherry tomato salad, as well as the perfectly cooked eggs and thoughtful sprig of thyme decorating the dish. Best enjoyed on the terrace under blazing sunshine.

The Mr. likes their Eggs Royal with home cured salmon and caperberries. As for their lattés, they’re comfortingly creamy but there’s also freshly squeezed juice or bubbly if you prefer.

The Menu

Their menu includes waffles with berries and ice cream, their take on a full English, as well as the obligatory avo-toast. If you don’t feel like brunch, they also do great pasta and burgers which I can confirm WILL help your hangover.

Service

They have the friendliest service, it’s like a neighbourhood living room that serves food made with love. That’s why this is my go to brunch dealer. The owners used to work in hospitality and branched out into their own family venture. They did a lot of the renovation work themselves and have turned this underused plot into a warm, welcoming spot with a pretty garden terrace. The food is consistently well made and flavourful – no greasy spoon vibes here.

Wild Thyme Opening Hours

Wild Thyme are open every day except Monday from 8am – 4pm. They also do a popular dinner from 6 – 10pm Tuesday to Saturday.

Booking

I would book or at least call ahead if you are planning to visit as it is quite a cosy café. They can usually find you a table though! Call them on 020 8354 9321.
