Thanks, I’m happy you found it useful! We booked everything in advance as some of the hotels were popular. For places to go I researched in books and online to create shortlists of potential places then validated which we wanted to go to using google maps and instagram which give you a better feel for a place. For accommodation I checked lots of hotel booking sites, hotel alliances (like Relais and Chateaux which is a favourite), and endless reviews on tripadvisor!

It’s seriously seriously beautiful! Since relocating to the North I’ve only made it to the Lake District twice so far, although it looks close on a map it still takes us a good few hours to get there. We stayed over for three nights last year but we were so disappointed with the hotel we picked so definitely saving Linthwaite House for next time, it looks beautiful! The lake views are stunning and that breakfast!! YESSSS!!
